DMREM takes on Trolley House Lofts

TrolleyHouseLoftsD&M Real Estate Management is proud to announce the acquisition of its newest client, the Trolley House Lofts: a new 20-unit, luxury condominium development located at 325 Palisade Avenue in Jersey City Heights.

The Trolley House Lofts project is steeped in history.  Constructed in 1910, the North Hudson County Rail and Depot Headquarters was a tribute to Victorian ingenuity and quality design.

In 1903 famed architech William Hasley Wood sold his land to the newly formed Public Service Corporation to build a depot for the Journal Square – Central Ave line on Hoboken’s Elevated Rail.

The “El Train” carried passengers from Jersey City Heights to Hoboken and was so famous that New Yorkers would often travel across the Hudson just to take the ride, which cost one nickel.

One hundred years later the Palisade Ave Terminus stands as a tribute to the impressive architecture of its time.
